The Vicuna Antarctica sock is made to keep your feet comfortable in the coldest conditions. The loopstiched inner gives the most silky and luxurious feel while the outer makes it hardwearing. The Antarctica is probably the warmest sock in the world.  Known as the wool of the gods.  Alpaca fibre is the most durable animal fibre yarn in the world!  Smooth and soft to the touch, it contains no lanolin, which means it’s naturally hypoallergenic, while microscopic air pockets give it incredible insulation and moisture wicking properties, allowing it to trap heat in winter.

It is important to know that natural fibres are especially sensitive towards high temperatures and any changes in water temperature. If your washing machine has a gentle wool cycle, you can wash the socks inside out for best results, or gently by handwash. Please wash seperateley and only use a Wool detergent. Please do not tumbledry or dryclean the socks.

The upside is that you have a natural product and often you do not have to wash them so often as a normal sock. You can even go 5 days or more without having to wash them!

Alpacas live in altitudes ranging from 2500m to over 4500m where temperatures can vary between +30C to -20C in one day.  Known as the wool of the gods.  Alpaca fiber is the most durable animal fiber yarn in the world.  Smooth and soft to the touch, it contains no lanolin, which means it’s naturally hypoallergenic.  Microscopic air pockets give it incredible insulation and moisture wicking properties, allowing it to trap heat in winter and breath in summer.
Care you your Vicuna Socks: You will find that the natural properties of the Alpaca yarn will make your Vicuna socks resistant to odours.  Due to the naturally resilient characteristics of Alpaca yarn, with a little care you can enjoy your durable Vicuna Socks for a very long time.  Although machine washable, we recommend hand washing your socks in luke warm water with wool detergent.  Let them dry naturally.
